ESWA elects a new President
Monday, May 22, 2017 — ESWA, the European Single ply Waterproofing Association, elected Koichi Oba as President at their last General Assembly on 9 May 2017 – exceptionally in Germany as for the farewell of the past President.
The members unanimously elected a new President, Vice-President and Treasurer for the period of 2 years from the year 2017 to 2019. The Executive Committee’s members are Koichi Oba, Head Corporate Target Market Roofing, Sika Services AG, Switzerland, who took over the position after Udo Wagner, Head of the Management Team, FDT, FlachdachTechnologie, Germany. Bruno Broccanello, CEO Flag, Soprema Group, France and Eric Oyno, CEO - Protan Group, Norway, were also elected members of the new Executive Committee.
“I am very enthusiastic about this nomination. I am happy to further develop the activities within ESWA and to further promote the unique value proposition of the European quality of single-ply waterproofing membranes. In 2017 we will focus on activities to prove qualitative performance of our members’ products as well as to support European standardization processes by our Technical Committee. We are also committed to further support activities within the VinylPlus Sustainability Program 2020”, said Mr. Oba after his election.
